Nominated by their peers and selected by the Des Moines University Faculty Welfare Committee, the following faculty were honored with annual awards:
- Kathy Mercuris, P.T., D.H.S., received the 2008 Outstanding Service Award
- Traci A. Bush, P.T. , OTR/L, D.H.S., received the 2008 Outstanding Teacher Award
- Gary Hoff, D.O., received the 2008 Excellence in Scholarship Award
- Jeffrey T. Gray, Ph.D., received the 2008 Excellence in Research Award
