PA- Physician Assistant

Family Medicine Specialists is an independently owned practice that offers a unique work environment. Our organization is made up of 5 Physicians, a Physician-Assistant and exceptional staff that serve our patients. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, and energetic individual with family practice experience to join our busy family medicine clinic.

Job Duties:
• Assure that patient needs, and excellent care is provided by performing quality work, completing work efficiently and accurately by providing general medical care to all ages including pediatric to geriatric patients
• Collect appropriately comprehensive patient health data to identify and treat the patient as a whole- physically, socially, and emotionally, meeting individual needs.
• Assure each patient receives the highest quality of care and has a great experience by responding to each patient as an individual with friendliness, kindness, and compassion
• Perform and document procedures and patient exams within the scope of practice for a Physician Assistant, in which are trained
• Work respectfully and collaboratively with patients, coworkers, managers and providers in a team spirit of cooperation and maintain a professional atmosphere in the office at all times
• Adhere to FMS confidentiality policies, and Federal and State HIPAA Privacy Laws
• Follow established policies and procedures; contribute to the review and make appropriate suggestions for improved efficiency

Requirements include:
• Physician Assistant License and Certification to practice in the State of Iowa
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
• Obtain appropriate CME
