(Des Moines, IA) – Christopher Hill, Des Moines University (DMU) osteopathic medicine student, recently received the DMU 2005 Student D.O. of the Year award. Hill is now eligible to run for the National Student D.O. of the Year award.
“I am very honored to be recognized for flying the flag of osteopathy with this award,” said Hill. “The last line of the Osteopathic Pledge of Commitment is to ‘live each day as an example of what an osteopathic physician should be,’ and I truly attempt to achieve that ideal every day as an osteopathic medical student by providing compassionate, quality care to my patients.”
Hill was also recently elected as the national parliamentarian for the executive board of the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP). He will graduate with a degree in osteopathic medicine from DMU in 2006. After residency training,
Hill – originally from Thompson, Iowa – plans on practicing primary care in Iowa in either ER or pediatrics.
