(Des Moines, IA) – Carlisle’s Sue Schooler, PA-C, was voted Des Moines University’s College of Health Science (CHS) Alumna of the Year in April. She graduated from Des Moines University’s College of Health Sciences in 1992 and now lectures at the school on dermatology.
Nominations were solicited and the CHS Alumni Council chose to present Schooler with the award at the CHS Alumni Weekend in August. Criteria for the award included being in good standing with a state or national organization and the Alumni Association, demonstrating service to the college, representing the profession and community service.
Schooler opened her own practice recently — Schooler Medical Professionals in West Des Moines — one of only a handful of Iowa PAs operating a practice. Her specialty is non-invasive procedures in a boutique-like medical setting.
