’96 CPMS grad Michael S. Lee, D.P.M., FACFAS, was recently named president-elect of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). (ACFAS has 6,000+ members. It’s a big deal!)
“ACFAS is a forum and network of the best and the brightest minds in the field of podiatric surgery, and I am honored to be granted the opportunity to serve my profession in this way,” said Dr. Lee.
Dr. Lee is a current clinical associate professor at Des Moines University (DMU) and supervises students on rotations. He practices with Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Des Moines with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of all musculoskeletal foot and ankle conditions including reconstruction, trauma and sports injuries. He is team podiatric physician for the Iowa Chops AHL hockey team, Iowa Barnstormers AFL2 football team and area universities and colleges. He is certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
