DMU has been working on launching four Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in Iowa. This is a great system for recruiting and retaining rural healthcare workers.
Last week KCCI (page now removed) did a story on it. Dr. DeRegnier and Dr. Plundo are both grads. They also speak with a current student doing a rural medicine rotation.
