This past Saturday some of the students from my class joined members of the National Guard and helped collect expired drugs that people wanted to get rid of.
We helped at the Pleasant Hill Fire department for 4 hours. There were pills upon pills delivered to us that are now out of the homes of local residents.
There is a new trend in our society of parties where drugs are passed that teens found in their medicine cabinets. Many kids die from this and to be a part of getting those drugs out of the houses and putting a small dent into stopping these deaths was worth our time.
