On October 13, our global health department and the Heartland Global Health Consortium are again hosting an awesome conference. This year’s topic, “the influence of agriculture on global health,” ties really nicely to the World Food Prize conference going on at the same time in Des Moines. Some of the speakers and attendees will be able to attend both.
Not only will you get to hear from amazingly experienced global health experts from around Iowa, you’ll get to hear from the president of Pioneer Hi-Bred and the SNS deputy undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer svcs. with the USDA. That will be really interesting!
It’s a full-day event which includes lunch & is only $25 to the public. As DMU students you can attend this conference for free, which is pretty darn fantastic. Registration has been extended until THIS THURSDAY so sign up soon!!
