This coming Sunday is the Des Moines Marathon. Obviously if you’re running it, you’re acutely aware of when it is. And hopefully if you’re one of the awesome students and faculty who’ll be providing OMM and physical therapy at the end of the race for athletes, you know when it is.
But for all the rest of you, please note: Grand Ave. will be closed in front of DMU from 8 a.m. until noon! You could somehow wind around south of Grand & enter via the church parking lot to the east but I’d probably recommend avoiding that too as the race route also winds south of Grand.
If you’re running: GOOD LUCK!! Have fun!
If you’re treating people at the end: thanks for helping our community!
If you’re just interested in partaking of the related activities, check out our grad Tim Vander Wilt, M.S.P.T., speaking at 6 p.m. Friday at the Polk County Convention Complex.
