Ever wonder what your body looks like with no skin? Well, you’re in luck because the Science Center of Iowa is hosting the lauded BODY WORLDS Vital traveling exhibit starting this Saturday, May 7.
Real donated human bodies are preserved through plastination and will be on display for guests to get a glimpse at what lies beneath our skin. Visitors will also get to see the vast contrast between healthy bodies and those in medical distress, and learn how to best protect themselves from life-threatening diseases.
Created by physician and anatomist Gunther von Hagens, Des Moines is just the second venue to host the latest exhibit from the Body Worlds family.
