Tomorrow is the last day before a long (and I’m sure, much needed) Winter Break, but there are still a ton of fun things to do this weekend if you are sticking around Des Moines.
Strap on your skates and go for a spin around the rink at the Brenton Skating Plaza. Open all weekend, Friday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., Sunday, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Enjoy the twinkling lights from the comfort and warmth of your own car at Jolly Holiday Lights in Waterworks Park. Every day from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Preemptively work off some of those holiday treats at the 4th annual Jingle Jog at Gray’s Lake, Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.
Dance with sugar plum fairies at The Nutcracker at the Civic Center, Saturday, 2 and 7 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m.
