Dornbier was named surgery physician leader at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He will share leadership of the surgery division with an administrative leader, working together to ensure coordination and quality of patient care. The surgery division includes general surgery, anesthesia, ENT, hand, plastic surgery, ophthalmology and urology. Dornbier will manage planning and organization of operations, clinical care and customer service and will be responsible for implementing organization-wide strategies, programmatic decision-making and communication and collaboration with medical staff. He is a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist with Obstetrical & Gynecological Associates of Des Moines.
