Peter G. Goebel, D.O.’97

Goebel was named Metro Health Hospital’s 2012 Nursing-Chosen Physician of the Year. The award is given annually by Metro Health’s Professional Nursing Council (PNC) to recognize a physician who exemplifies best practices and supports the role of nurses as part of the health care team. Goebel specializes in internal medicine and is a hospitalist. He joined Metro Health in 2000 and practices at the Best Practices Inpatient Care Center in Wyoming, MI. He completed an internship and internal medicine residency at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, MI, and completed a faculty development fellowship at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
