Des Moines University students Logan McCool, D.O. ’15, and Justin Bloomberg, D.O. ’14, were honored with prizes for their outstanding poster presentations at the 4th Annual Global Health Fall Conference held at DMU on October 17.
Twenty graduate and undergraduate students from universities throughout Iowa presented their research on topics in the field of global health. McCool won for his poster, “Unusual Sources of Sporadic Legionellosis: A Critical Review.” Bloomberg was also honored for his poster presentation, titled “Performance of the PlusoptiX A08 Photoscreener for the Detection of Amblyopia Risk Factors in Children 0 to 5 in Central Iowa.”
