December 1 is World AIDS Day. The theme for 2012 is “Working Together for an AIDS-Free Generation”. Show your support of AIDS awareness and recognize the millions living with HIV/AIDS as well as to remember those who have died by wearing red that day.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are currently 1.1 million people living with HIV in the U.S. (an estimated 1,148,200 adults and adolescents), and nearly one in five of those (18%) are unaware of their infections. Almost 18,000 people with AIDS still die each year in the U.S.
