Justin Bloomberg, a Des Moines University osteopathic medical student, has been awarded the Kathie J. Lyman Scholarship by the Polk County Medical Society (PCMS). He was presented with a $1,000 scholarship at the PCMS Annual Meeting on January 30.
The Kathie J. Lyman Scholarship recognizes both scholarly achievement and financial need and is presented annually medical students from the University of Iowa and Des Moines University. The scholarship is a tribute to PCMS Executive Director Kathie J. Lyman for her lifelong work furthering medical education.
