NOM week

National Osteopathic Medicine (NOM) Week kicked off yesterday and runs through the Saturday. NOM Week’s main purpose is to bring the osteopathic medical profession together to focus on one common goal — increasing awareness of osteopathic medicine and DOs in communities across the country.

As part of NOM Week, Des Moines University osteopathic medical students will host their annual OMM Community Night this Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Education Center, 3300 Grand Avenue.

Students will be on hand to discuss the benefits of osteopathic manual medicine (OMM) and provide free OMM treatments in the lab where they train. These treatments utilize full-body structural and muscular assessments that can relieve pain and improve health.

OMM Community Night is free and open to all ages. Hope to see you there!
