PRIM&R’s At Your Doorstep Program: IRB 250 was back in action again this year on August 2. Sixty-three attendees from colleges and companies across Iowa and Nebraska spent the day deepening their understanding and insight of core topics related to human research protection programs (HRPPs).
Hosted by the Des Moines University Office of Research and led by George Gasparis , CIP, president of The PEER Consulting Group, LLC, and Moira Keane, MA, CIP, former Executive Director of the University of Minnesota Human Research Protection program, the participants covered the following topics:
- Conducting research beyond your backyard
- Applying the expedited categories
- Internet research
- Case studies
- Children & adolescents: Pediatric Research subpart D
