Jackson is a pediatric infectious disease physician who serves as vice president and therapeutic strategy head in the infectious disease, vaccines and respiratory unit of Quintiles Inc., the world’s largest pharmaceutical service company. She also serves as the chair of the Pediatric Center of Excellence at Quintiles, which provides consultation on pediatric clinical trials to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She is an adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of pediatric infectious disease at Duke University in Durham, NC, where she was previously a full-time faculty member. Jackson resides in Hillsborough, NC, where she enjoys gardening and spending time in the mountains of Virginia with her husband, John, and daughter, Cara.
