The annual DMU Research Symposium was held on Thursday, December 5, and featured Laurel L. Haak, Ph.D., executive director of ORCID. The program entertained and educated a record audience of more than 400 attendees.
Students competed in both oral and poster presentations in various categories, according to their field of study. Oral presenters were assessed on their submitted abstracts and performance, while poster presenters were evaluated on technical, visual and presentation aspects. Six awards were presented among the graduate and undergraduate student contenders.

- Movement Science: Ebonie Vincent, D.P.M.’15 – “Comparison of the Modified Paper Grip Test (mPGT) and Rocker Board Test (RBT) in Individuals With and Without Plantar Heel Pain (PHP)”
- Public Health: Sarah Ling, D.O.’14 – “Broadlawns Family Health Center System Implementation for Immunizations in Children”
