Sandersfeld was recognized with the Guardian Angel Award through St. Luke’s Foundation in Cedar Rapids, IA, for providing outstanding care to Robert Munson, an orthopedics patient at St. Luke’s Hospital. “I am extremely grateful for Dr. Munjal’s and Heidi’s exceptional care and concern,” said Robert. “You did a wonderful job on my surgery. The Guardian Angel program gives patients and families the opportunity to make a donation in appreciation of a St. Luke’s physician, associate, volunteer or department that made a difference in their health care experience. A recognition ceremony is held for every Guardian Angel gift in front of the recipient’s peers, giving special honor to those who go above and beyond.
