What Attracted Me to Physical Therapy:
I began my academic career studying chemical engineering, but I found it just wasn’t for me. I took an interest-based test and the top three suggested professions were nursing, teaching and physical therapy. I had considered a health care occupation or teaching, but I didn’t know anything about physical therapy. I began volunteering with a physical therapist and I found that I loved the profession. Physical therapy is a perfect combination of teaching and health care. I love that my job is active, relational, innovative and fun.
Clinical Interest:
I enjoy treating a wide range of diagnoses, but I have a special interest in fall prevention, balance and vestibular disorders.
Conditions I Treat:
I treat patients with orthopedic conditions like spine and joint pain, musculoskeletal injuries, headaches, generalized weakness, neurological conditions and vestibular disorders.
How My Expertise Can Benefit Patients:
Physical therapists are movement specialists. We identify dysfunctions with the movement system. We collaborate with the patient and empower them to restore and improve their function and mobility.
How I Spend My Free Time:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, hiking, camping and gardening.
Fun Fact:
I have been skydiving.
