Nearly 125 of Des Moines University’s President’s Society and Founders Society members attended the 2014 President’s Society Holiday Reception. The annual event took place this past Saturday, December 6, at the Embassy Club in the Ruan Center located in downtown Des Moines. This year DMU proudly inducted 13 new donors into its Founders Society, with five new members present to publicly accept their award at the event. Overall, the reception was filled with appreciation and pride as DMU recognized its most prestigious donors for their generous contributions to the University over the past year.
DMU Student, Cindy Lin, D.P.M. ’16, also shared what makes her “DMU Proud” with attendees, “What I am most DMU proud of is that your support helps this institution continue to train selfless, compassionate individuals that give back to their community so that we can make an even bigger impact on this world. I will continue to strive to follow in your example, and hope that I can continue to positively affect the world through healthcare and giving. Thank you for making me DMU Proud.”
The annual President’s Society Holiday Reception honors the distinguished members of the Founders and President’s Societies. Members of the Founders Society have contributed cumulative gifts of $100,000 or more to the University since the Annual Fund was established in 1995. President’s Society members consist of those donors who give $1,000 or more to the University annually.
