Merrell Kauwe earned the award for best poster presentation by a resident at the fifth annual DMU Research Symposium on campus on Dec. 4. He was the presenting author of research titled “Quantification of Rotational Correction Achieved During First Metatarsal Cuneiform Joint Fusion.” Kauwe practices in Fort Dodge, IA. One of his co-authors on the research was Mindi Feilmeier, D.P.M.’05, FACFAS, assistant professor in DMU’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
