Christina Fernandez-Morrow was named to the Business Record’s 2015 list of Forty Under 40 honorees. The annual list recognizes local business leaders who have demonstrated impressive career achievements and unparalleled community involvement.
Fernandez-Morrow is a standardized patient trainer in Des Moines University’s Standardized Performance Assessment Laboratory (SPAL). She was nominated for her involvement in numerous community organizations that advance the Latino community in Des Moines, most notably as executive director of the Latina Leadership Initiative of Greater Des Moines and founding board member of the Latino Heritage Festival. Fernandez-Morrow is also a founding board member of Art Noir at the Des Moines Art Center and has served on numerous boards for local organizations.
Six hundred people have received the honor since the Business Record began the awards in 2000. Honorees were profiled in the February 27 issue of the publication and will be recognized at an event on March 10.
