Joseph R. Schlecht, DO, FACOFP, of Tulsa, OK, was named the 2015 Osteopathic Family Physician of the Year by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). He received the award on March 12 during the ACOFP’s 2015 annual convention and scientific seminars, held March 12-15 in Las Vegas.
After an internship and 15 years in solo practice, Dr. Schlecht started a primary care practice with 15 DOs and that grew to 60 DOs in Tulsa. It’s now part of the larger Warren Clinic.
For the past 15 years, he has been one of the few osteopathic physicians advising the American Medical Association’s Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee.
