Kevin Smith, D.P.M., Ph.D., FACFAS, associate dean for clinical affairs in the DMU College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery (CPMS); Roy Lidtke, D.P.M.’91, assistant professor in the internal medicine department’s rheumatology section at Rush University Medical Center; Noah Oliver, D.P.M.’10, a third-year resident at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA; and Jared Maker, D.P.M.’10, a third-year resident at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, had their research, “Mechanical Comparison of Cortical Screw Fixation versus Locking Plate Fixation in First Metatarsal Base Osteotomy,” published online in June in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
In addition, in December Smith was awarded his Ph.D. in educational studies with specialization in educational leadership and higher education by the University of Nebraska.
