College students and working professionals interested in a health care career are invited to Des Moines University on Friday, April 10, for an interactive exploration of DMU’s graduate programs and campus. Discover DMU runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and includes student-led tours, lab demonstrations and a resource fair.
The open house gives visitors a first-hand look at the University, allowing them to examine lifelike human simulators, participate in a suturing session, observe a demonstration of osteopathic manual medicine and experience the simulated clinical setting students train in before entering a real clinic.
Discover DMU is targeted to prospective students, but academic advisors, parents and friends are welcome. Attendance is free. For more information and to register, visit www.dmu.edu/admission/discover-dmu.
