Cherie M. Kuzmiak, D.O.’93

Cherie M. Kuzmiak, D.O.’93, was inducted as a fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR), one of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a radiologist, radiation oncologist or medical physicist. ACR fellows demonstrate a history of service to the college, organized radiology, teaching or research. Approximately 10 percent of ACR members achieve this distinction. Dr. Kuzmiak’s induction took place at a formal convocation ceremony during the ACR 2015 meeting May 17–21 in Washington, DC. She is director of breast imaging and associate professor of radiology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is a member of the ACR, the American Association of Women Radiologists, the North Carolina Radiological Society and a member and fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging.
