Susan Beck, D.O.’84, FACOS

Susan Beck, D.O.’84, FACOS, in July 2015 was featured in the Des Moines Business Record as a 2015 “Woman of Influence” honoree for her stellar surgical career as medical director with Katzmann Breast Center in West Des Moines. She pursued surgery at a time when female surgeons were a rarity. The article also praised her for completing two half-marathons and six medical mission trips in India. Beck, who is pursuing her master’s degree in public health at DMU, is a past member of the DMU Board of Trustees and current adjunct faculty member in the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
