Kristin Gisselman, D.O.13, won best resident poster presentation at the 2015 DMU Research Symposium on Dec. 3 with her poster titled “Creating a Cohesive Approach to Research.” She is a resident in family medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She proposed creating a guide to help Mercy family medicine residents better understand their research requirements and expectations, which have been increased in recent years. More than 500 people attended the research symposium, which featured 57 abstracts in oral and poster presentations.
