Boyd Buser, D.O., a member of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Board of Deans and vice president for health affairs and dean of the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM), in July was named president-elect of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). As an AOA board-certified physician in osteopathic manipulative medicine and family medicine, he has served the AOA in numerous capacities, including as recent chair of its business affairs department and the Bureau of Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education Development, among other appointments. His term as AOA president will begin in July 2016.
