Alesia Wagner, D.O.’83

Alesia Wagner, D.O.’83, was promoted to the rank of associate professor at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also was named the 2016 W. Douglas Ward, Ph.D., Educator of the Year by the American Osteopathic Foundation’s Committee on Scholarships and Awards. The award is presented to an individual who emulates the osteopathic profession’s highest standards of excellence in teaching, is passionate about osteopathic medicine, has made a significant impact on the academic advancement of osteopathic students and has made long-standing contributions to the profession in the academic arena. Wagner has spent her professional career in family and occupational medicine, osteopathic education on a clinical level, medical leadership, the  “business of medicine” and in the promotion of the osteopathic profession.
