Brennen D. Smith, D.O.’06

Brennen D. Smith, D.O.’06, an orthopedic surgeon with CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids, MN, led the hospital’s orthopedic and spine surgery services team in bringing inpatient, outpatient and trauma-related orthopedic and spine surgery services to the area on a full-time basis. That means patients no longer have to leave the region for specialty spine surgery or travel outside the community for orthopedic surgical services. Smith finished an internship and residency at Grant Medical Center–Ohio Health in Columbus, OH, and then completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at New Albany Surgery Center in New Albany, OH. At CHI St. Joseph’s Health, he provides services ranging from cervical disc replacement and knee and shoulder arthroscopy to total hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement.
