Joshua Tessier, D.O.’08

Joshua Tessier, D.O.’08, was elected president-elect of the Iowa Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) at the chapter’s annual conference and scientific seminar in January in Des Moines. A diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, he completed his family medicine residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He is a faculty physician at UnityPoint Health Systems, Iowa Lutheran Hospital family medicine residency, and a regional assistant dean of adjunct clinical faculty member for DMU. He also serves as an adjunct clinical faculty member for the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The Iowa Chapter of the ACOFP, headquartered in Des Moines, is a professional association for osteopathic family medicine physicians in the state. Its mission is to promote excellence in the practice and education of osteopathic family physicians and students.
