June E. Beetler, D.O.’93, was appointed to the board of directors of Spotlight Innovation Inc., an Urbandale, IA-based company that identifies and acquires rights to innovative, proprietary technologies designed to address unmet medical needs, with an emphasis on rare, emerging and neglected diseases. Beetler is board-certified in pediatrics and has more than 20 years of experience in general practice and urgent care settings. Her experience and expertise span general pediatrics, integrative medicine and holistic care. She practices at St. Petersburg Pediatrics in St. Petersburg, FL. Before relocating to Florida, Beetler maintained her own Iowa practice, Johnston Pediatric Clinic P.C., for 18 years, and was a staff physician at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
