Stephen Van Roekel, D.O.’99, FACEP, FAAEM

Stephen Van Roekel, D.O.’99, FACEP, FAAEM, was named regional medical officer of the Austin, TX, region for First Choice Emergency Room, the largest network of independent freestanding emergency rooms in the United States. He completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY. Van Roekel has worked for First Choice Emergency Room since 2009 and most recently served as the facility medical director of First Choice Emergency Room–Austin Arboretum and First Choice Emergency Room–Austin Riverside.
