Carl Schultz, D.O.’80

Carl Schultz, D.O.’80, after practicing in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Davenport, IA, and finally in Fort Myers, FL, retired in 2010 after 27 years of emergency medicine. During his career he also worked for 10 years as a ship’s physician for Carnival Cruise Lines. He dabbled in volunteer medicine for a few years, became a licensed yacht captain and got involved in a yacht club. Then last year he decided to start covering an internal medicine clinic in Fort Myers on the weekends, the same year he became commodore of the St. Charles Yacht Club. He continues to be involved with the admissions department at the U.S. Naval Academy, where his son graduated.
