NATION’S TOP PRODUCER
of family medicine physicians in its latest annual survey of all U.S. medical schools.

The residency placement rate for graduates of the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery has been 99 percent or higher for the past five consecutive years. Students’ board exam pass rates exceed national averages, too.

A recent National Institutes of Health grant of more than $800,000 to a DMU researcher on diet and coronary heart disease brought the total of DMU’s active externally funded research projects to 
MORE THAN $3.2 MILLION.

DMU’s physical therapy program graduates achieve high pass rates on the National Physical Therapy Examination (licensure exam). As published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, DMU graduates had
100 PERCENT PASS RATES
in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Graduates of the physician assistant program consistently achieve PA National Certification Examination (PANCE) pass rates that are higher than the national average. The DMU PA Class of 2017 had a
PASS RATE OF 98 PERCENT

The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) granted DMU’s doctor of physical therapy program
10 YEARS OF REAFFIRMED ACCREDITATION STATUS.
This is the most number of years the commission grants for this status.

As part of orientation in August 2017, DMU students and employees bagged
MORE THAN 40,000 MEALS
for Meals from the Heartland, a nonprofit organization that distributes meals to malnourished people across the U.S. and around the world.

DMU’s osteopathic medical Class of 2016 achieved a
100 PERCENT FIRST-TIME PASS RATE on Level 3 of COMLEX,
the licensure exam for U.S. osteopathic physicians. The class was the nation’s best and only medical class to achieve that rate.

All members of the DMU College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2017 landed residencies, marking the fourth consecutive year of
100 PERCENT PLACEMENT
of our osteopathic graduates.

Increase from 2014 to 2016, external research funding at DMU jumped 286 percent. Research at the University is active, engaging, diverse and ongoing in all academic programs.
