Matthew Lunning, D.O.’06

Matthew Lunning, D.O.’06, is a hematologist/oncologist at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Board-certified in hematology and medical oncology, he sees and when necessary treats patients with lymphoid malignancies. He also performs bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T therapy for some subtypes of lymphomas. He completed an internal medicine residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center and a hematology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Lunning also is a Man of the Year candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), Nebraska chapter. He is committed to the cause as he has seen how LLS has helped patients get assistance for travel or drug co-pay assistance. Lunning and his wife, Jana, have four children – Scarlett (12), Rowan (10), Ruby (8) and Niles (3).
