David Dierks, D.O.’08, and Kathryn Szajna Dierks, D.O.’09, FACEP, are physicians in the emergency department of Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, IA. The two met at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, where Dave, then an Arizona State University graduate, was working as an emergency room nurse and Kathryn was volunteering while finishing her undergraduate degree. They were married in 2009. They were featured in the Quad-City Times on June 6 in an article titled “Partners at work and home: Meet the Genesis ER couple.”
