Veronica Fuhs, M.H.A.’04, was appointed Oct. 17 to serve as chief executive officer of the Davis County, IA, Hospital and the Monroe County, IA, Hospital and Clinics (MCHC) in a shared service agreement signed by the boards of both facilities. She has served as chief executive officer of MCHC in Albia since February 2015. During this time, she successfully recruited two new family practice physicians, achieved growth in multiple service lines, secured a $589,000 Rural Health Care Services Outreach Program grant, and added the Avera eEmergency service. She currently is leading a $19 million construction project for the hospital. In addition, MCHC was named one of Iowa’s “Top Workplaces” for the third consecutive year by the Des Moines Register. Fuhs and her husband, Andy, live near Moravia, IA.
