The Des Moines University (DMU) Office of Research (OOR) had a productive year in 2018. The key successes are contained in the infographic below.
Faculty and staff secured 22 externally-funded grants in the areas of mental health, forensic anthropology, geriatric education, paleobiology and student training among others.
Of the 65 peer-reviewed publication and book chapters, 14 were book chapters, 39 articles were published, and 12 articles were in press. The 39 articles published were in a variety of journals includingJournal of Forensic Sciences, The Journal of Physiology, Journal of Physiology and Biochemistry, Journal of Comparative Neurology, Journal of Counseling Psychology, Journal of Aging and Health and Journal of Health Administration Education.
The diversity of the research grants and publications are indicative of the breadth of research interest among the faculty.
