David L. Wolf, D.O.’74, M.S.W., FACOOG (dist.)

David L. Wolf, D.O.’74, M.S.W., FACOOG (dist.), received the 2019 Gold Humanism in Medicine Award. He is the associate program director of the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, MI, and a volunteer physician for the hospital’s free medical clinic for the working uninsured. He had served as program director for more than 20 years and was in private practice from 1979 to 2010.

Wolf is clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine; clinical associate professor at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine; and assistant professor at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also is chair of the Center for Women’s and Children’s Health and serves on the board of trustees of the Detroit Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan.

Author of the inspirational book Hope – the Gift is You, Wolf is past president of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and an emeritus member of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He and his wife, Anita, reside in Trenton, MI, and have two children and six grandchildren.
