Joie Fisher, D.O.’00, FAAP

Joie Fisher, D.O.’00, FAAP, is a board-certified neonatologist who is affiliated with Central Jersey Newborn Care in Skillman, NJ. She is also affiliated with Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Clara Maass Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Tower Health Medical Group. She completed her residency through the Atlantic Health System, working at both Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, and Overlook Hospital-UMDNJ in Summit, NJ. She then went on to complete her fellowship at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Fisher is board-certified in both pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). She has received several awards for her work, including the Young Investigator Travel Award by the Pediatric Academic Societies, Best Oral Presentation Award from the New York Perinatal Society and the Gloria O. Schrager, M.D., Pediatric Resident for Excellence in Teaching Award. Her areas of research include single-nucleotide polymorphism, bronchopulmonary dysplasia and enteral nutrition for the very-low-birthweight infant.
