Swapna Aurora, D.P.T.’07, and her husband, Shashank, told the story of their arranged marriage at the Des Moines Storytellers Project’s “My First Time” event on Aug. 20, 2019. The Des Moines Storytellers Project is a series of storytelling events in which community members work with Des Moines Register journalists to tell true, first-person stories live on stage. The couple resides in central Iowa.
