Norman Rose, D.O.’63, FACOS, FICS, was among the first class of Distinguished Fellows of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS), a distinction created to recognize and honor longstanding ACOS Fellows for their outstanding and sustained demonstration of engagement and service to the ACOS, exceptional professionalism, consummate integrity and noted leadership in the college and the osteopathic community. Past president of the ACOS, Rose is clinical professor of surgery at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine; academic director emeritus of the general surgery residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, FL; and clinical professor in the department of biomedical sciences at Larkin University in Miami.
