Jennifer Greene, M.P.H.’15

Jennifer Greene, M.P.H.’15, is the health director at Appalachian District Health Department, a public health agency serving Alleghany, Ashe and Watauga counties, NC, and a federally qualified health center serving Alleghany and Ashe counties. She began her tenure as health director in December 2017 after serving as interim health director since November 2017 and deputy director since 2016. In her role, Greene works alongside the AppHealthCare staff team, Board of Health, Partners in Public Health Board and community partners to fulfill the department’s mission of promoting safe and healthy living, preventing disease and protecting the environment.
