Matthew Trump, D.O.’08, FACP, FCCP, medical director for UnityPoint Pulmonary Rehabilitation in West Des Moines, in July gave a YouTube presentation about his experiences and outcomes with nasal high flow before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with observations of using the therapy after COVID-19. The presentation was developed by the California Thoracic Society in collaboration with Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, for which Trump is a consultant. He has been with the Iowa Clinic since 2014 and is an instructor at Des Moines University, an adjunct clinical associate professor at the University of Iowa and section chief for the pulmonary/critical care division of the University of Iowa-Des Moines internal medicine residency.
