Matthew Johnson, D.P.T.’08, M.H.A.’13

Matthew Johnson, D.P.T.’08, M.H.A.’13, was named chief executive officer of the Waverly, IA, Health Center and will assume the role Jan. 4. He had been CEO of MercyOne Centerville, IA, Medical Center and, prior to that, was the CEO and president of the Cherokee, IA, Regional Medical Center. Johnson is a military veteran having served with the 4^th Infantry Division as a nuclear, biological and chemical operations specialist and later a sergeant as a non-commissioned officer. He was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and his wife, Molly, have four children.
